snow capped mountains

Husb and I had a wonderful week at the Montecito-Sequoia Lodge. I was Artist of the Week for their family summer camp, June 22-28. Each morning I would teach 2 classes of watercolor sketches in different outdoor locations around camp, and then the afternoons & evenings were free for husb and I to enjoy all the activities. Fabulous! We had perf weather. We hiked (one hike was 6 miles!!!) and swam (in the pool and lake), made tie-dye t-shirts and lanyards, sang camp songs and did silly dances. Just how a true summer camp experience should be. We met wonderful adults and kids and had a terrific time. The camp is in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park area, about 400 miles from San Diego, and the most gorgeous country you could imagine.
We really hope to do this again next summer! (If you've got kids, I highly recommend this camp experience!! check it out.)

  2. Wow! Sounds like a great week. As always your posts makes me want to leave Sweden right away and head out for San Diego. We don`t really have that kind of camps in Sweden ( I think) but it sounds fab. Especially the camp songs and silly dancing part :-)

    Thanks for charing!
