Doodled dishes

Inspired by my uber-talented friend, Alisa Burke, and her online class, I painted these dishes as Christmas presents for my friends. Doodling on white dishes from an import store.

I used these pens, and then baked the dishes for 30 minutes at 300 degrees.

  3. What a great idea! Did you use the undercoat? What kind of brush did you use? Janet Wright

  4. No brush, the pens are like markers and you just shake em, then draw with them. no undercoat. Let dry for 72 hours, then bake 300 degrees for 30 min.

  6. These look great, Jane!
I'm going to do this with my class for Mother's day this year -- The kids are 6 and 7 -- do you think that I should buy fine or broad points? What did you use?

  7. I used the fine point pens, I think. They're 1.2
perf for the kids! and you can easily wipe off any mistakes while the paint is still wet.
