Day 4

Thanks so much for you kind comments of support and caring. It means a lot to me.
We are still at Virginia's with hopes of returning today to our home, which thankfully was spared. Thanks again to Virginia, for hosting us and to her cats Oobie and Rudy for sharing (though not voluntarily) their home and kitty litter.

  1. Hope you get to return home today and that you find everything just as you left it.
Aren't cats "funny" about welcoming guests!

  2. Jane,
I"m soooooooo glad to hear you are okay and are going to be able to return to your home. All of us on the Art Quilt Forum have expressed concern about your wellbeing. I think most of us have continued to work on our pieces. Take care!

  3. Jane,

I've been worried about you then remembered your blog...and happily, you and your home are o.k. Thank goodness!!! I look forward a chance to experience your wonderful artistic energy again in 2008. Sharon Bray (from the "Paint Your Journal" workshop)

  4. Jane, I am very glad to hear you will get to return home, although I'm sure the changes to the terrain must be very upsetting. glad your kitties were able to cope with the change too... my kitties don't do change too well, and I can only imagine how frightened they must have felt. I will still keep you all in my prayers, as well as those who have battled the flames.

  6. hi jane -- wonderful news that your home and studio were spared. the class i took with you last saturday seems so long ago now. p.s.: i'm embellishing page 5 out of 6 of my fabric book, and as it happens, they're fire colors.

  7. I'm so glad to hear that your home is safe, Jane. I'm hoping that your friends and others in the San Diego sketchcrawl group have good news when they return home, also.
