Dia de los Muertos is an amazing tradition and event. In the town next to mine, Escondido, California, they host a beautiful event every year for Day of the Dead. Here are some photos I took of the evening.

My friends and I (Tesoro del Corazon) are teaching a mixed media art retreat in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, during Dia de los Muertos October 28-November 5, 2014. We taught their last year, during Day of the Dead and it was simply beautiful.

I spent ten years in San Antonio, Texas, and was always fascinated by the Dia de los Muertos celebrations. It has so much more meaning and makes so much more sense than our Halloween! I visited San Miguel de Allende in college, and LOVED it there...what a treat it would be to make art with you there!
