old is new again
Recently, I saw a hand embroidered sweater in a shop, for sale for $128. I thought, I can do that! So I went home and stitched on my cardigan.
I've always liked this little cotton cardigan, but it was sort of ordinary. Now, it's kinda cute.
Reminds me of waaaay back, when I stitched, probably just like this, along the leg of my bell-bottom jeans. Some things never change...
BeBop immediately perched on it.

Don't you love it when you can do that! It looks beautiful and makes a nice change.
ReplyDeleteMy cat believes an outfit is never complete until it is accessorized with a bit of feline fur. Beautiful embroidery Jane!
ReplyDeleteYup: your sweater is waaaay cute! I had a gazillion pairs of bellbottoms all embroidered up too! What fun!

Love your "new" sweater! I also had the embroidered bell bottoms. BeBop giving the sweater the feline seal of approval.
ReplyDeleteIt's darling! I remember embroidered bell bottoms.... and vests, too! And LOL, my sister has always and still looks for the most embellished clothing she can find!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of when I decided to make my own 'designer' jeans because I refused to pay $40 for a stupid swan on a pocket! Price is a great creative motivator!
ReplyDeleteWow - this looks gorgeous! I bet it's even cuter than the one in the store. :)
ReplyDeleteAren't you clever? What an easy idea to give a sweater a facelift! Thanks for sharing the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI think BeBop has staked his/her claim! Lovely, OOAK sweater, Jane!
ReplyDeleteI like the simple design of that sweater.
