Inspired by Jenny Cochran Lee and this post on her blog, I spent an afternoon stamping fabric. I'm going to add color to these and make something cool! I'll keep you posted. I even did some organza to overlay The only reason I stopped was that all my StazOn stamp pads were out of ink! Thanks Jenny for the inspiration!
Nice post...I will be doing this with my students today. We will be using paper. Thanks for sharing this, Jane!!! Please check out my BLOG at: www.suemarrazzo.blogspot.com
I want to try this....I haven't done a hand-carved stamp yet! I love the simple, repeating design. If I could get to my studio today, I would try this today....we have so much snow I can't get out of my driveway yet!
This is a good inspiration to get out the carving tools! I like these pieces. Reminder to self: it doesn't have to be too hard or complicated! Thanks jane.
I love what you've done, Jane! I need to quit following your blog, though, because you keep introducing me to new things that I just have to try!! :) I really DO need to quit working and just play!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea to use the staz on pads on fabric! So many printmaking methods make the fabric stiff, which this doesn't. I will try it soon.
ReplyDeleteout of ink - feh! that's when you start using textile paint.. and LUMIERES!!!! what fun! Love the combinations of the stamps.
