Spring in San Diego
I taught, this past weekend, at California Center for Creative Renewal in Encinitas, CA. I had nearly 20 wonderful students, many of them current or previous students, so that makes me happy! It started out a big foggy, but soon the sun came out.
Ellen, the owner, always provides a yummy and beautiful breakfast for us.
As you can see, there were flowers everywhere!
I teach at this fabulous location again on October 19, so save the date! please sign up for my email newsletter to be notified when registration opens.
I didn't have time to finish any of the sketches I started that day, hey, I was teaching! but I do have a tutorial on how to draw and paint a protea here.
What a beautiful site! And a wonderful testament to your teaching talents to have return students!
ReplyDeleteHow inspiring! Every corner is just gorgeous - I could be lost in that garden for ages!
ReplyDeleteSorry that the weather isn't going to be that nice in Green Bay this weekend and spring certainly hasn't arrived yet, but I am looking forward to your workshop!
ReplyDeleteThe South African Potea is such an unusual flowering plant. I have seen it before but, did not realize it originated in South Africa.
ReplyDeleteYou tutorial is just superior. I like the "running off the page" and the South African flag which is such a nice visual presentation.
Will have to give this a try soon.
