It started simply enough. I did this continuous line drawing in late September. Then later, I printed it on a teabag and glued it to some fabric and now...it's the inspiration for a whole series.
Yesterday, I went back to the scene of the crime, and took photos of more rusty circles to inform my as yet unamed series.. stay tuned.
Jane, Check out the flickr group "old rusty stuff". Did you see Suzanne Morgan's rusted cotton. I gave her a piece of medal as we're clearing out to move and she said the fabric turned out well.
Rusty circles and GEARS! I love gears. am looking forward to more.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful inspiration!
ReplyDeleteRust must be in the creative air -- I rust-dyed some fabric with bottlecaps last week. I think you're gonna have some fun!

ReplyDeleteLOL, I took pics of some of those items when I was at the Winery. Glad I'm not the only one looking at something besides flowers.
ReplyDeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteJane, is this the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista? If it isn't, you've got to get yourself there!
