Hi Jane! I was in your drawing class at Create NJ- (I am in the background of the photo on Andria's blog. OH, how I wish I'd known that a photo was being snapped!) Anyway, I wanted to say thanks for a wonderfully inspiring day. I showed my 89 year old mother what I'd done in your class with your encouragement, and she was quite impressed. I wish I could join you in Phoenix! I will be there Aug.2 to visit a daughter and son-in-law! I think that's ironic! I would love to learn the free-motion technique. I have tried on my own, and just can't get the hang of it! Maybe next year! Thanks for your patience last week!! jenny
Jane, I love this Blue Bird of Happiness project. I've added it to my list of need-to-dos!

Beautiful piece. I especially like your second photo showing the lovely mix of paper and fabric, and the different types of stitch. Love the harmonies
