So so lovely. Plus, it just looks like it was fun to make!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt. It has so much depth and so many interesting things happening. Really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love every stitch! Especially the tree.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Love the colors and stitches. Know about nature printing but tell me more about how you got a gelli plate (or gel) involved. Did you load up the leaf and leave the imprint on the gel or gelli plate, then print fabric?
ReplyDeleteYes. I do it a number of ways, Gayle. I use the leaf as a resist and as a print. thanks!
DeleteAbsolutely glorious, and exciting, for today at a trade show in Birmingham (UK) I was looking at gel plates that are to be imported from the USA. I wonder if it is the make you use (or do you create your own?) I can't wait, and actually press and store Autumn leaves as we won't have any fresh ones over here for quite a while. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece.
ReplyDeleteYes, I use the Gelli Arts plate. The link is in my post. I love them! thanks for your kind comments!
DeleteJane, bravo! The piece really comes together with the appliqued tree.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteI really like this. Gelli plate is top of my wish list.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is amazing! I love the "naturey" feel.
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful... :)
ReplyDeleteBeautious!
