Don and I just returned from New York City, and while we were there, we visited the
9/11 Memorial.

No words can express...
I am not an American, but this was such a huge and sad event the world was affected by the events on that tragic day.
ReplyDeleteI always see you smiling that gorgeous smile of your, it isn't like you to look so sad. My heart breaks to think of all the families that were affected that fateful day.
Thank you for sharing XXX
Thanks for the POST!
ReplyDeleteYes, we lost 4 friends (an entire family: mom, dad and 2 lovely girls who would be teenagers and going off to college now if they were still alive) in the plane that went down into the Pentagon. They were on their way to Australia for a year's sabbatical for the mother. We traced their names when we visited the 9/11 Memorial 2 years ago. The place just reeks of pain but there is healing. How many deaths will it take 'til we know, that too many people have died....
ReplyDeleteAloha, Kate
Beautiful pictures, Jane. I am glad you took the time to visit...and so close to the anniversary.
