your mice are totally adorable. I love them. and I don´t understand why you´d want to get rid of them. and I´m referring to both the pieces and your paintings
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable and so fun!
ReplyDeletelol, halloween is soo fun:) too cute to give'em away!
ReplyDeleteYour mice sketches are just adorable - they would be perfect for illustrating a book.
ReplyDeleteBeeBop doesn't look too pleased to see so many mice around :)

These little guys are just toooooo cute and adorable....and what a wonderful way to savor the memories, Jane!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely CHARMING!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm de-cluttering, too. Maybe this is the way to steel yourself to leaving stuff behind- sketch to remember and then give it to someone with more space.
Ingenious and wonderful as always.
Aw Jane! I only have one...the Fezziwigs dancing at Christmas...and I could never part with it! I love the Wee Forest Folk!!! If you ever decide you really are gonna sell any, or give any away, please LUK!!! There are good homes out there for those meeces & they would be loved as you love them! Great sketches too! ♥
ReplyDeleteJane, I did this very thing a couple of years ago with a stuffed dog, Poochie, who I had slept with for sooo many years as a child. I could not bear to throw him away, even though his fur was worn off, head nearly detached, and lived in a bag in my closet. One day, I pulled him out of the bag, laid him on a pretty rug, and painted. Poochie the original is now long gone, but the picture hanging in my studio gives me that same warm feeling every time I look at it. And I know I honored his memory. Its a perfect way to savor memories without drowning in the clutter!
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult for me to segue from pomegranates and persimmons to mice and rabbits, but I'm enjoying your animal characters. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Jane. It's difficult to make the transition from pomegranates & persimmons to mice and rabbits, but I'm enjoying making the effort. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSO cute, your drawings are adorable. Just looked up on eBay and wow you are right those do go for a pretty penny. Think your drawings are delightful and I think I'd sell them too.
ReplyDeleteI love your mice!
ReplyDeleteI love the mice - I used to see them in a shop in Stockbridge,Massachusetts where we would stop on our way through...never got around to purchasing (maybe because I already had too many collectables!) but always thought they were so beautifully hand-painted, so cute!
