Words for 2013 ~ created by Jane LaFazio of my blog readers and facebook friends' words |
Have you chosen your one word for 2015? One word that sums up who you want to be or how you want to live. One word that you can focus on every day, all year long. Or at least try to.
Words for 2014 ~ created by Jane LaFazio of my blog readers and facebook friends' words |
My ONE WORD is CLEAR.
Clear, as in clear roads ahead. Clear, as in clear spaces surrounding me. Clear, as in clear skies, clear sailing ahead. Clear, as in a clear mind.
My 2013 word was LOVE.
"Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand and melting like a snowflake." ~ Francis Bacon
Clear, as in clear roads ahead. Clear, as in clear spaces surrounding me. Clear, as in clear skies, clear sailing ahead. Clear, as in a clear mind.
My 2013 word was LOVE.

My word for 2012 was Preparation. And I wrote this at the time:
This year I've chosen the word "preparation." Not a very exciting or ethereal-type word, but a good one for me. You see, I want to become a better teacher in 2012. Yes, I'm a good teacher now, and I do get lots of wonderful, positive feedback. But I want to be better. I want to step it up, really give my students their time and money's worth. I want to be more prepared. To be prepared for my classes, to have more hand-outs, more of a structure (but still with lots of room for creative play!) to really think through each step of the process. Good solid preparation is what I plan to be physically doing for each and everyone of my classes and workshops.
So, what is your ONE WORD? Do leave a comment on this post, and I will include it in my 2015 words poster. And if you are one of my blog subscribers, you'll receive a free downloadable color pdf of 2015 words. So, you've got two assignments, subscribe to my blog by going here, and entering your name in the upper right hand corner.
And then, leave a comment with your ONE WORD for 2015.

My word is "Focus" - to get things finished and to keep my workspace uncluttered. Since deciding on this word it keeps popping up everywhere! No excuses to not focus!
ReplyDeleteMy word is Perseverance. This is my second time choosing a word and for 2014, my word was Now.
ReplyDeleteThis coming year is going to be Ease, it is declared, it had been stated publicly and blogged, and it has been painted and sits on my altar ready for the new year.

ReplyDeleteMy word is "purge". If I get rid of half of what I own, I will be free to create with what is left.
ReplyDeleteBecause I have difficulty doing it, my word for 2015 is FOCUS. Perhaps a wall hanging highlighting that word will help me.
ReplyDeleteMy word for 2015 is going to be 'creativity'. Thank you for the encouragement to find our words Jane.......
ReplyDeleteI have a few words going around in my head, but I'm opting for "play".
ReplyDeleteGratitude for what blessings I have.
ReplyDeleteImplement- This word resonates with me on quite a few levels. Thanks, Jane for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteMy 2015 word is "Enough." I tend to over-schedule and try to accomplish too much, so this year I will find what is enough for me.
ReplyDeleteI had been thinking about this before I even read your post! My word is "authentic" hoping to bring that into all parts of my life.
ReplyDeleteI think my word for this year will be Focus. I have had such an upsetting year in 2014 that I have not been able to complete much, so I want to focus on projects and my art and complete a number of things I have started so i can move on.
ReplyDeleteMy word is Alone. This is the first time since my partner died that I feelready to be fully, richly, magically alone.

ReplyDeleteEncourage
ReplyDeleteEncourage
ReplyDeleteHow do I pick just one word? Simplify, tranquility, compassion, joy, abundance - all are meaningful to me. If I had to sum up one word that summarizes what life is all about for me is would be "love".
ReplyDeleteToday
ReplyDeleteThis will be the first time I choose a word, it has been in my mind for quite a few days now, and it goes with my New Year Resolution, which is the first time I choose one too, you can read it in my blog http://alifefullofpassions.blogspot.com/ so my word would be SHARE :)
ReplyDeleteMy 2015 word is Show-Up.
ReplyDeleteI didn't pick a word this year but 2015, it seems appropriate. I used to accomplish so many creative projects, then,, when my job provided more creative outlet, my home projects rather slipped away. I need the creative outlet again at home, and want to rediscover that person who uses her time to create, rather than watch tv or read! I keep tossing around words...reinvent, reclaim, re-establish, redevelop, I haven't hit on the right word just yet. Any suggestions are welcome! I want to finish half-made quilts, make dolls, take more Sketchbook Skool, klasses (and more Jane LaFazio classes :-)!) lose some baggage and accomplish...hmm, that's a good word...
ReplyDeleteStart
ReplyDeleteThankful -- so blessed - much to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteInspire. It was my 2014 word also
ReplyDeleteCompletion. I want to finish fabric I create into projects instead of putting it in the cabinet.
ReplyDeleteIn 2013, I chose release. Then in 2014, it was value. This year I am choosing revisit.
ReplyDeleteIt came to me as I sat down amongst the mess of my art space - intentional! My work, my play, my exercise - all of it will be intentional - I'll not let "life" take over. If I don't get something done, I'll assume it was an intentional decision. Fun!
ReplyDeleteMy word for 2015 is ORIGINAL. I want to do more original design, especially in my fiber art.
ReplyDeleteJane, my One Little Word for this year is BETTER. In every way.
ReplyDeleteFor 2014 it was CREATE and it was in fact the most creative year in my life (Sketchbook Skool 1 and 2, two Strahmore workshops, one Craftsy course, Liz Steel's SketchningNow... six sketchbooks filled, five in progress. Lots of sketch friends all over the world. And the most important thing - sketchnig is now really my daily habit :) ).
I've learned, you have to choose your OLW carefully: in 2011 it was CHANGES and my life turned upside down ;)
Cheers!
Last year was create and this year is enough. Goes along with the Brene Brown quote, I'm imperfect and I'm enough.
ReplyDeleteAbundance!
