Is it a quilt? Is it a sketchbook?

This project started about 2 years ago (?) when I was creating a project for a 3-day workshop in New York City. The workshop didn't happen and either did this part of the project.  (Fabric was from City Quilter in NYC, but I see they don't carry it anymore.)

But I had the 'quilt' and knew it would make a cool sketchbook cover.

So, I added 10 pages (two-sided would make 20 pages) of Fabriano hot press watercolor paper. Hmm, maybe it will turn into a workshop after all....

  2. How cute, I think that could be an etui. I've got to make one of those.

  3. Neat cover. We're going on a trip soon. Maybe I'll make a map for the cover of my sketchbook for the trip!
