This is such a nice page..the lavender and succulents(know what they are, but it slips my mind now?....so nice. Is that an araucana egg top left? Ronell
Wish I could've been there, would love to have taken that class from you Jane - and your lavender here makes me long for my garden to be in bloom, but it's about 2 more months for me unfortunately being so far north =( thanks for sharing!!
p.s. your journals are so very inspiring, my new journals and Niji brush arrived awhile back and are still just sitting there - so far i've just looked at them (longingly), any jumpstart hints on those? =)
Oops, you're right, it's an araucana chicken egg. I spelled it wrong, and I am not the most farm-fluent. Just found hens don't need roosters for eggs!! Laura, grab that journal right now, look around your house and draw something!
Jumpstart idea for Laura. Just leave the first few pages of your journal blank and start a little further in. Later you might want to add a title page, index, colophon or something. But it is not as threatening to start on an inside page.
The class was wonderful and it has gotten me drawing daily. I did a view from my rear view mirror while waiting for someone yesterday. Now that was a study in putting down only what you SEE not what your mind translates for you. Sally
DELIGHTFUL, JANE! I JUST LOVE YOUR STYLE!
