Faces~ in France
Most of these images are photos of sculptures that I took at the Louvre, in Paris, and a few are from Villa Rothschild in Nice, France. I love the idea of taking these photos as a collection. What a grand thing it would have been if I'd taken the time to draw each one...but impossible. So, here's my plan. I will go to my lovely local museum, the San Diego Museum of Art and draw the faces on their sculptures! I promise.
more photos of my trip to France tomorrow!

What an interesting collection! Fascinating to see just the faces and compare and contrast... rather than be distracted by the other elements of the sculpture and the surroundings. I'm especially intrigued by the last one that is split down the middle.ReplyDelete

They all have such great character! the faces I took pics od were all either too beautiful (florence) or a little hideous (dresden). These people look like people I mit know and like!ReplyDelete
What wonderful pieces of art that you were able to view in France! I've never been to Europe (never been out of the US, to be exact), but someday hope to have the opportunity to see all of the historic art Paris has to offer!ReplyDelete
