So here's a relatively quick drawing of a molinillo. Note the hand carved stamp is based on the top of the molinillo. I'm obessessed with this stamp and I'm using it everywhere! I've got like 3 or 4 quilts and 4 or 5 collages on canvas, all with this stamp.

  1. Jane:
Love your Molinillos, I also have a few because I'm from Monterrey, Mexico and still have the one that was used for my chocolate every morning. Now I use the Braun electric blender "stick" instead.

  2. I just learned that 'dutch" process cocoa removes the fats ad antioxidants from cocoa, so if you want to put those Molinillos to work, I say no 'dutched' cocoa. Beside that, great drawing and stamp. Like the juxtaposition of the two.

  3. These sketches are lovely, Jane! I like the washes...

  4. Very sophisticated layout and combination of line/wash/form!

  5. OOOOH MY! These are sooo nifty... I think I may now have to start a collection just to have around as a sculptural art form...Great sketch!

  6. Hi there Jane
Haven`t been visiting for a while so I had alot of catching up to do. Beautiful sketches as always. Love the one from the beach with the feathers and this one. Loved the print and can understand why you like it so much.

    See ya soon again

Thanks so much for visiting!
