  2. It's nice to be able to flip back in the old books and see a central theme but see the style has changed (a little.) Love them all.

  4. Love your pumpkins, Jane. It gives me hope for my next autumn in March 2012.
At the moment I am watching my pumpkin seedlings from the compost, grow in the vegetable garden - along with the sprouting tomato seedlings and the potatoes and the parsley. Spring is wonderful but just wish we had a bit more rain. Canberra Australia can be very dry.

  5. Why are pumpkins so appealing? I did not even grow up with them, but there is something very comfortable and warming about them. A promise of plenty. They will carry us over until spring, and keep us well. That, and their somewhat primitive, coarse beauty, I think, make them so gorgeous to us.

  7. Great variety and color of pumpkins. Great time of year for sketchers and painters--you've gathered a wonderful selection of non-calorie, very satisfying eye candy!
